Vendors

Dear Potential Vendor,

Rock the Plank (RTP) would like to thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor for the inaugural year of our concert. St. Peter Lutheran Church and School (SPLCS) is hosting “Rock the Plank” (RTP), an outdoor concert on our campus, Saturday August 5, 2017, from 5-10p.m.  We are anticipating 3000 – 4000 people at this exciting event.  We will have three live bands featuring Kris Allen from “American Idol”, Christian singer Adam Cappa and a local Christian artist.   All prospective vendors are required to read the vendor contract and submit the vendor application for consideration by, July 21, 2017.  Selected vendors must adhere to the terms and conditions stated in the vendor contract packet.  Space is limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis, per eligibility.

St. Peter Lutheran Church and School is a non-profit 501(c)(3), Christ-centered Church and Elementary school.  The mission of “Rock the Plank” is to bring awareness and funding for two wonderful local foundations.

New Day FoundationNew Day Foundation for Families is a Rochester, Michigan-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2007 by Michael and Gina Spehn in the aftermath of losing their first spouses to cancer.

New Day Foundation’s mission is to have a positive impact on treatment outcomes and survivorship by reducing the catastrophic effects of financial toxicity caused by a cancer diagnosis.

They serve families who have a family member in active treatment for a cancer diagnosis (adult or pediatric), and who also have children under the age of 18 living in the home.

They accomplish their mission by offering financial assistance and emotional support.  For more information please visit www.foundationforfamilies.org.

ChadTough Foundation – The most hated word in the world of pediatric brain tumors is “rare”. “Rare” is the reason there is not enough research being done. “Rare” is the reason there aren’t drugs being developed. “Rare” is the reason there is so little funding. “Rare” is why our kids don’t have more options. The three facts below negate the claim of “rare”:

  • Cancer is the number one disease killer of children in America
  • Brain tumors are the leading cause of cancer-related death in children
  • DIPG is the leading cause of death from brain tumors in children

Chad Carr, the son of Jason and Tammi Carr, the grandson of U of M coach Lloyd Carr and U of M great Tom Curtis, died of DIPG on November 23, 2015.  The mission of The ChadTough Foundation is to fund research and raise awareness for Pediatric Brain Tumors with an emphasis on Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). Please visit www.ChadTough.org for more information.

*Note: The following is required and must be submitted upon vendor application acceptance:

  • Food Vendors are required to complete and return a proposed price list for approval with their completed application. This document is necessary to process vendor applications and fully execute contracts.
  • Either a Certificate of Insurance naming SPLCS & LHN as additional insured OR a SPLCS Hold Harmless Agreement (provided) .
  • Health department certification (Food Vendors Only)
  • Contract Fee

We are expecting a lot of interest in this new event so we encourage you to apply soon.

Sincerely,

Rock The Plank Committee
